2026 Boys Track and Field Practice and Meet/Invitational Schedule

Before the season begins, you need to register for Boys Track and Field online with the PSHS Athletic Dept. and have an updated sports physical in the PSHS Athletic Dept.

***All Track and Field Practices and Meets are mandatory. This includes being present at the practice or meet for the entire time.  Please know our Team Attendance Policy.

MAKING A COMMITMENT TO THIS SCHEDULE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE GROWTH OF OUR PROGRAM AND SUCCESS OF YOUR TEAM IN THIS 2026 TRACK AND FIELD SEASON!!  100% PERFECT ATTENDANCE IS OUR EXPECTATION AND THE STANDARD!  PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DAYS AND TIMES, PREPARE AND PLAN AHEAD TO BE A CHAMPION.

**Your 2026 Championship Season begins on January 26th  and will conclude on May 30th.

Monday, January 26, 2026 -  E-Learning (Cold/Snow) Day.  No Practice.  

Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - TRY OUTS 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.  PARENT MEETING at 6:00pm in the PSHS Cafe.

Wednesday, January 28, 2026 - TRY OUTS 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Thursday, January 29, 2026 - TRY OUTS 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Friday, January 30, 2026 - TRY OUTS (BEFORE SCHOOL) 5:00am to 6:45am at the PSHS Fieldhouse.  

Saturday, January 31, 2026 - TRY OUTS 7:00am to 10:00am at the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Monday, February 2, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Tuesday, February 3, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.

******Tomorrow, we will begin our separate practices.  Your Coaches will let you know which practice to attend, Track Practice OR Field Event Practice.  DO NOT attend both practices.  These separate practices will only happen once or twice a week during our indoor practices.*****

Wednesday, February 4, 2026 - Track Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.  Field Event Practice 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Thursday, February 5, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.  4:15pm Fundraiser with Mr. Carlton.

Friday, February 6, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.  HALL OF FAME NIGHT!  Our 2011 State Championship 4x400 Relay Team is being inducted into the PSHS Athletic Hall of Fame - 6:30pm in the Gym.

Saturday, February 7, 2026 - Distance Practice 8:00am to 9:30am.

Monday, February 9, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Tuesday, February 10, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  UNIFORM HANDOUT FOR SENIORS AND JUNIORS 4:15pm to 5:15pm.

Wednesday, February 11, 2026 - Track Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  Field Event 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Thursday, February 12, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  UNIFORM HANDOUT FOR SOPHOMORES AND FRESHMEN 4:30pm to 5:20pm.

Friday, February 13, 2026 - Home Quad vs. Neuqua Valley, Minooka and Plainfield North.  2:30pm Team Meeting and Set Up.  All PSHS Athletes will attend this meet.

Saturday, February 14, 2026 - Distance Practice 9:00am to 10:30am at the Hammel Woods - Crumby Pavilion.

Monday, February 16, 2026 - No Practice - Presidents' Day No School.

Tuesday, February 17, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Wednesday, February 18, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  Fundrasier Phone Blitz at 4:15pm with Mr. Carlton.

Thursday, February 19, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Friday, February 20, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 6:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  WE will set up for tomorrow's Invite after practice at 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

Saturday, February 21, 2026 - PSHS Indoor Invitational.  Team arrives at 7:30am.  All PSHS Athletes will attend.

Monday, February 23, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Tuesday, February 24, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Wednesday, February 25, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Thursday, February 26, 2026 - Team Practice (BEFORE SCHOOL) 5:00am to 6:45am in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Friday, February 27, 2026 - Team Practice 9:00am to 11:00am in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  SIP Day, No School.

Saturday, February 28, 2026 -  Lakes "Clash at the Coliseum" Invitational.  Top 2 or 3 only in each event will attend.  Bus Time: 5:45am.  

ALL SPRING SPORTS BEGIN. If the temperature is above 40 degrees, be prepared to practice outside.  Dress Warm!

Monday, March 9, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  Downers Grove South Relays at North Central College.  Top Varsity Relays will attend.  Bus Time:  4:30pm.

Tuesday, March 10, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Wednesday, March 11, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  PICTURE DAY!!  Bring your entire uniform and warm-ups.

Thursday, March 12, 2026 - Track Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.  Field Event Practice 6:00pm to 7:45pm.

Friday, March 13, 2026 - Batavia Distance Night.  Qualifiers only will attend.  Bus Time: 2:30pm.  No Practice on Friday, but we will practice tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

Saturday, March 14, 2026 - Team Practice 7:00am to 9:00am at the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Monday, March 16, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Tuesday, March 17, 2026 - Plainfield Frosh/Soph City Championship at Plainfield North.  All Freshmen and Sophomores will attend.  Bus Time: 3:00pm.  No School. Juniors and Seniors have the day off.  Come over to North and support your team!

Wednesday, March 18, 2026 - Track Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse. Field Event Practice: 7:00pm to 8:45pm.

Thursday, March 19, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Friday, March 20, 2026 - SPC Indoor Championship at Lewis University hosted by Minooka.  Top 2 in each event will attend.  Bus Time: 2:30pm.

Saturday, March 21, 2026 - No Practice.

Monday, March 23, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Tuesday, March 24, 2026 - Plainfield South Freshmen Indoor Invitational.  All Freshmen will attend.  Juniors and Seniors will help work the invite.  Team Meeting and Set Up at 2:30pm.

Wednesday, March 25, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

Thursday, March 26, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm in the PSHS Fieldhouse.

SPRING BREAK is March 27th through April 5th.  During Spring Break, practices are not mandatory.  If you go on vacation, please let your Event Coach know.  If you stay home, you are welcome to attend the Spring Break practices with your Event Coach.  Spring Break practices days and times will be posted by March 24th.

Friday, March 27, 2026 - Spring Break begins.  No Practice.

WE WILL NOW PRACTICE OUTSIDE EVERY PRACTICE.  Prepare ahead of time and dress warm!!  Wear layers, including sweatpants, hats and gloves.

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Stadium Track.

Thursday, April 23, 2026 - West Aurora Throwers Invitational.  Top Varsity and Top Frosh/Soph Throwers will attend. Bus Time: 3:00pm.  Hinsdale Central Invitational.  Top 3 in each event attend.  Bus Time: 2:30pm.

Friday, April 24, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Stadium Track.  PROM.  If you are attending Prom, please tell Coach Crowe.

Saturday, April 25, 2026 - Team Practice 8:00am to 10:00am at the PSHS Stadium Track for everyone not attending Prom.  Palatine Distance Night. Distance Qualifiers only.  Bus Time: 4:00pm.

Monday, April 27, 2026 - At Plainfield North with Joliet West and Romeoville.  All Athletes will attend.  Bus Time: 2:45pm.

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Stadium Track.

Wednesday, April 29, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Stadium Track.

Thursday, April 30, 2026 - The Stephen P. Hunt Memorial Invitational at Plainfield Central.  Top 4 in each event and all Distance runners will attend.  Bus Time: 2:30pm.

Friday, May 1, 2026 - No Practice.  Cougar Grand Prix Middle School Invitational at Plainfield South.  We will need 25 volunteer workers from our team to help run this invitational.  Sign up with Coach Vittorio.

Saturday, May 2, 2026 - No Practice.

Monday, May 4, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Stadium Track.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 - At Minooka with Oswego East and Plainfield East.  All Athletes will attend.  Bus Time: 2:45pm. ***For many of you, this will be your last Track and Field meet.  This list of athletes will be posted on your Google Classroom.  These athletes will turn in their entire uniform at PSHS after the meet.  Please plan ahead with your ride and make sure they know that you need 20 extra minutes to turn in your uniform when we get back from Minooka.  Do not attend anymore practices and we will see you at our Awards Night.

Wednesday, May 6, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm.  We will meet in the Fieldhouse or Weightroom.

Thursday, May 7, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Stadium Track.

Friday, May 8, 2026 - Lockport Bill Jackson Invitational.  Top 3 athletes in each event will attend.  Bus Time: 2:45pm.

Saturday, May 23, 2026 - State Qualifiers Practice 8:00am to 10:00am at the PSHS Stadium Track.

Monday, May 25, 2026 - No Practice. Memorial Day.

Tuesday, May 26, 2026 - State Qualifiers Practice 8:00am to 10:00am at the PSHS Stadium Track.

Thursday, May 28, 2026 - State Qualifiers will leave for I.H.S.A. State Championship at Eastern Illinois University.  Bus Time: 6:00am.  Practice will be at O'Brien Stadium. Time TBA.

Friday, May 29, 2026 - I.H.S.A. State Championships (preliminaries) at Eastern Illinois University O'Brien Stadium.  Time TBA.

Saturday, May 30, 2026 - I.H.S.A. State Championships (finals) at Eastern Illinois University O'Brien Stadium. Time TBA.
