2026 Boys Cross Country Practice and Meet/Invitational Schedule

Before the season begins, you need to register for Boys Cross Country online with the PSHS Athletic Dept. and have an updated sports physical in the PSHS Athletic Dept.

***All Cross Country Practices and Meets are mandatory. This includes being present at the practice or meet for the entire time.  Please know our Team Attendance Policy.

MAKING A COMMITMENT TO THIS SCHEDULE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE GROWTH OF OUR PROGRAM AND SUCCESS OF YOUR TEAM IN THIS 2026 CROSS COUNTRY SEASON!!  100% PERFECT ATTENDANCE IS OUR EXPECTATION AND THE STANDARD!  PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DAYS AND TIMES, PREPARE AND PLAN AHEAD TO BE A CHAMPION.

**Your 2026 Championship Season begins on August 10th and will conclude on November 7th.  

The CRC races at NXR on November 15th and NXN on December 5th are not mandatory, but highly encouraged.

**Make sure you are on our REMIND app for Cougar Running Club and Cross Country Google Classroom for updates and changes.  Please check back on this schedule on a weekly basis.

Wednesday, August 12, 2026 - Team Practice 6:00am to 8:15am at the PSHS Track.

Thursday, August 13, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Track.  FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.

Friday, August 14, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.  Blue and White Night 5:00pm to 5:50pm.

Saturday, September 19, 2026 - Woodbridge Cross Country by Asics at the Great Park in Irvine, California - 5:00pm.

Monday, September 21, 2026 - Juniors and Seniors Practice 9:00am at 11:00am at PSHS Track.  Sophomores and Freshmen at the York Frosh/Soph Invitational at Berens Park in Elmhurst.  Bus Time: 2:30pm.  SIP DAY - No School.

Tuesday, September 22, 2026 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Track.

Friday, November 6, 2026 - Top 14 will travel to Peoria Detweiller Park for practice.  Bus Time: 9:30am.

Saturday, November 7, 2026 - I.H.S.A. State Championship at Detweiller Park.  Bus Time: 9:00am.

***Nike Cross Regionals (NXR) is on Sunday, November 15th at LaVern Gibson Champiosnhip Cross Country Course.  We will compete as the Cougar Running Club.  You are responsible for your own travel and lodging.  Please plan ahead and get reservations early.  Also, please help each other with traveling.

***Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) is for the Top 2 Varsity Teams that qualifiy from NXR Midwest.  Nike Cross Nationals is on Saturday, December 5, 2026 in Portland, Oregon.
