2025 Boys Cross Country Practice and Meet/Invitational Schedule

Before the season begins, you need to register for Boys Cross Country online with the PSHS Athletic Dept. and have an updated sports physical in the PSHS Athletic Dept.

***All Cross Country Practices and Meets are mandatory. This includes being present at the practice or meet for the entire time. Please know our Team Attendance Policy.

MAKING A COMMITMENT TO THIS SCHEDULE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE GROWTH OF OUR PROGRAM AND SUCCESS OF YOUR TEAM IN THIS 2025 CROSS COUNTRY SEASON!!  100% PERFECT ATTENDANCE IS OUR EXPECTATION AND THE STANDARD!  PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DAYS AND TIMES, PREPARE AND PLAN AHEAD TO BE A CHAMPION.

**Your 2025 Championship Season begins on August 11th  and will conclude on November 8th**  NXR and NXN are highly recommended, but optional.

**Make sure you are on our REMIND app (Cougar Running Club) and Cross Country Google Classroom for updates and changes.  Please check back on this schedule on a weekly basis.

Tuesday, August 12, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, August 13, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Baker County - Ellis House and Equestrian Center - 13986 McKenna Rd., Minooka, IL 60447.

Thursday, August 14, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Friday, August 15, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Saturday, August 16, 2025 - Blue and White Team Time Trial at Channahon (Ronald D. Lehman) Community Park at 7:00am to 10:00am.

Monday, August 18, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the PSHS Track.

Tuesday, August 19, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, August 20, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at PSHS.  We will meet in the Auditorium at 2:20 before practice will all Fall Athletic Teams.  TEAM PICTURE DAY at 6:15pm.

Thursday, August 21, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Track.

Friday, August 22, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:45pm at the PSHS Track.  Blue and White Night Team Presentation at 5:45pm.

Saturday, August 23, 2025 - Team Practice 8:00am to 10:00am at Millbrook Jr. High - 8411 Fox River Dr., Millbrook, IL 60536.   Our workout/practice will be on Millbrook Estates Loop.

Monday - August 25, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Tuesday, August 26, 2025 - Morning Team Practice 5:00am to 6:40am at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, August 27, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Thursday, August 28, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Track.

Friday, August 29, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Saturday, August 30, 2025 - Normal West Invitational at Maxwell Park. Bus Time: 5:50am.

Monday, September 1, 2025 Labor Day - Team Practice 8:00am to 10:00am at Hammel Woods - Crumby Pavilion.

Tuesday, September 2, 2025 - Plainfield City Cross Country Championship at Plainfield North - Bus Time: 4:00pm.

Wednesday, September 3, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Thursday, September 4, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Track.

Friday, September 5, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Baker County -  Ellis House and Equestrian Center - 13986 McKenna Rd., Minooka, IL 60447.  We will have 1 Cougar Bus.  Sign up for a seat, if you need a ride.  Your ride can also pick you up at Baker County at 5:00pm.

Saturday, September 6, 2025 - Team Practice 8:00am to 10:00am at Waterfall Glen - Cass Ave. Trailhead.  We will have one Mini Bus (14 people) at 7:00am.  Sign up in person if you need to take the Cougar Bus.

Monday, September 8, 2025 - Team Practice at McKinley Woods in Channahon 2:45pm to 5:00pm.  Mini Bus will leave PSHS at 2:25pm.  Return to PSHS by 5:30pm.  Your ride can pick you up at McKinley Woods.

Tuesday, September 9, 2025 - Morning Team Practice 5:00am to 6:40am at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, September 10, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Thursday, September 11, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:45pm at the PSHS Track.

Friday, September 12, 2025 - Varsity Top 7 and Frosh/Soph Top 7 will leave for Practice at Detweiller Park in Peoria at 2:30pm.  Everyone else will Practice at PSHS 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

Saturday, September 13, 2025 - Peoria First to the Finish Invitational at Detweiller Park in Peoria.  Team Bus at 6:30am.

Monday, September 15, 2025 SIP DAY - Team Practice 7:00am to 9:30am at the PSHS Track.

Tuesday, September 16, 2025 -  Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, September 17, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:00pm at the PSHS Track.  We will then go to Aux Sable for the Aux Sable/Drauden Point XC Meet until 6:00pm.  Please join us as we want to support all the middle school runners.  Your ride can pick you up at Aux Sable.

Thursday, September 18, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the PSHS Track.

Friday, September 19, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Saturday, September 20, 2025 - Team Practice 6:45am to 9:00am at Cene's Four Seasons Park in Shorewood.  25520 W. Seil Rd., Shorewood, IL 60404.  

Monday, September 22, 2025 - York Frosh/Soph Invitational at Berens Park in Elmhurst. Bus Time: 2:30pm. Juniors and Seniors will practice 2:50pm to 5:00pm at McKinley Woods - I and M Canal Trail. 

Tuesday, September 23, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, September 24, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Saturday, October 4, 2025 - Locktoberfest Invitational at Dellwood Park in Lockport. Bus Time: 7:00am.  Nike Twilight XC Town Invitational at LaVern Gibson XC Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Top 10 Bus Time: 12:00pm. 

Monday, October 6, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Lake Chaminwood Preseve. 24251 W. Shepley Rd. Minooka, IL 60447.  We will have 1 Cougar Bus available.  Sign up in person with Coach Crowe if you need a spot on the bus.  We will be done by 4:50pm and return to PSHS by 5:10pm.

Tuesday, October 7, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, October 8, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 3:40pm at the PSHS Track.  Please meet us at Plainfield East for the Paw Pac Conference Meet.

Thursday, October 9, 2025 - Team Two Mile Time Trail Under the Lights.  6:15pm to 9:00pm.  We will start in Room 193 with our Team Meeting at 6:15pm.

Friday, October 10, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the PSHS Track.

Saturday, October 11, 2025 - Team Practice 7:00am to 9:00am at Hammel Woods - Crumby Pavilion.

Monday, October 13, 2025 Columbus Day - Team Practice at Channahon (Ronald D. Lehman) Community Park at 8:00am to 10:30am.

Tuesday, October 21, 2025 - Fast Cat Frosh/Soph Invite at Plainfield Central.  Bus Time: 2:40pm.  Juniors and Seniors will practice 2:30pm to 4:15pm at the PSHS Track.

Wednesday, October 22, 2025 - Team Practice 2:30pm to 5:00pm at the PSHS Track.

Thursday, November 6, 2025 Parent / Teacher Conferences - Team Practice 7:00am to 9:00am at the PSHS Track.

Friday, November 7, 2025 Parent / Teacher Conferences - State Travel Team (Top 14) will travel to Detweiller Park in Peoria for State Finals Practice.  Bus Time: 9:30am.

Saturday, November 8, 2025 - IHSA State Championship at Detweiller Park in Peoria.  Bus Time: 9:00am.

Nike Cross Regionals and Nike Cross Nationals (NXR and NXN) are highly recommended, but optional.  We will send our Top 7 to compete in the Varsity Championship Race and the top 2 teams will advance to Portland, Oregon for NXN.  Our entire team is welcome to race at NXR, so please go and have great time at this Nike Cross Country Championship.  If you have any questions, please talk to Coach Crowe, Coach Thompsen, Coach Vittorio.  Plus Coach Prieboy will be our NXR and NXN coach this year.

Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, 2025 - Nike Cross Regionals at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.  

Saturday, December 6, 2025 - Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon.

Awards Night - Date and Time: TBA.
